Hello! My name is Rob Allen and I have been appointed to serve Lexington United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church upon the retirement of Rev. Terry Cook. Pastor Cook has served these two Churches for the last nine years. My wife Jenny and I look forward to joining these communities and look forward to all that they have to offer.
I have served in ministry for a little over fifteen years. The past 7 years in pastoral ministry and the 8 years prior to that in music ministry. In previous vocational settings, I worked in all aspects of emergency services as well as an insurance claims adjuster.
We will be moving from a community in which I have spent nearly four decades, but moving is nothing new to me. I grew up as a "military/government" brat attending 13 schools in just 8 years!
Jenny and I have been married since 2010. We have one crazy Australian shepherd mix and a nearly 19-year-old cat, both of whom still live at home. We have one son, Ray (22), who is a Chef and lives in the Kansas City area.
The story of my call to ministry is a long road with many twists and turns, of which I am fully convinced have worked to prepare me for this part of my journey. Jenny and I are super excited to get to know everyone and become a huge family in the United Methodist tradition
Until we come together, God's blessings on you.
