We're Hiring for a Nursery Attendant!

Are you a team player with a passion for caring for nursery age children? Lexington United Methodist Church (LUMC) has an opportunity for you to shape the faith of infants thru pre-school children. This position is for every Sunday during Sunday School and Sunday Morning Worship. Hours are from 10:00 am until after worship, usually around 12:00 pm. Other times may be needed as well and will be communicated as far in advance as possible.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and willing to commit for at least one year.

• Must submit to a background check and complete all required forms.

• Must take our Safe Gathering Certification (paid for by LUMC).

• Be of good moral and Christian character.

• Childcare experience preferred.

• Basic first aid and CPR certification.

Essential Duties

• Abide by LUMC policies and Safe Gatherings requirements.
• Maintain current CPR certification for infants and children.
• Cleans and disinfects toys each Sunday (only toys played with during nursery time) after children have left.
• Maintain cleanliness of Nursery Room.
• Communicates needs for supplies to Church Leadership.
• Engages children in appropriate age level activities (i.e. age-appropriate songs, stories, lessons, crafts, etc.)
• Ensures the safety of the nursery environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
